The Month of June

June brings about the middle of the year and wow it's gone fast! I applied for the Old Bus Depot Markets at the beginning of the month and was quickly accepted to my surprise. The OBDM is described as 'Canberra's Sunday Best' and runs every week in an industrial building in Kingston. Featuring a mix of fabulous foods and beautiful handmade items it really has something for everyone. The hard part was then deciding which week I wanted to attend as I'd specified I'd like to trade once a month. I chose the 2nd Sunday with the exception of this month.

My first stall was on the 15th which coincided with the annual Kid's in the Shed day, and it brought lots of the people to the market. I enjoyed meeting new people including fellow stallholders and the visits from a few Canberra Etsy team members. I'm looking forward to the next market on the 13th of July which is also another theme day - Creative Fibre. The OBDM features a monthly theme day and lucky for me a few fall on the 2nd Sunday of the month.

All set up and ready to sell

The new bag this month is a travel bag which uses the design I created for my mum for her Europe trip last year. Mum loved the bag as it fit all her essentials and was comfortable while travelling. I did make one improvement though - the addition of the zippered lining back pocket, now that I'm loving them! The bag comes in a fun travel print, a plain denim or the dalmatian black and white and features a zippered large front pocket, adjustable cross body strap and closes with a hidden zip across the top.

Happy Handbags...

  1. I can't see the middle picture on my ipad for some reason.
The OBDM are one of my favourite places to hang out. So cool and you can stroll along the lake when the weather's nice too.

    1. Thanks for the comment Hannah :) The picture should be fixed now, just checked and I had the same problem on my tablet. Maybe I'll see you at the OBDM one day!
